About: Cistus has a beautiful, unique scent that is resinous, green and earthy; it is often blended into men’s scents, alluring perfumes, and skin care products. Also known as Rock Rose, the essential oil is steam-distilled from the plant’s small white and yellow flowers. Cistus is an ancient folk remedy for cuts, sickness, swelling and more. Cistus essential oil provides complimentary support for skin care, the respiratory system, muscles, and joints.

Common Uses: Add a drop of Cistus to facial care formulations for mature skin and scars.

Add 1 drop of Cistus to a dab of lotion and rub into sore muscles.

Cistus essential oil can also be diffused to promote the respiratory system and purify the air.

Blending Recommendations: Cistus is resinous and earthy with a scent unlike any other essential oil. It is blended both for personalized aromas and for skin care. The scent intensifies when warmed on the skin, so use a small amount in blending. Cistus is a fixative, causing scents to stay longer after application.
